PECB eLearning started as an attempt to adapt to the ever-changing nature of online education. PECB has created this platform to facilitate the delivery of training courses and make our products accessible from different environments, including the comfort of one’s own. 

The ISO 9001 Foundation eLearning training course focuses on the concepts of quality and quality management, and provides an overall explanation of ISO 9001 requirements for a quality management system (QMS).

What is included?

• You have 12 months time as of reception of the learning material to learn, do the exam and get your certification
• Certification fees are included in the exam price. 
• Training course content in video format (5+ hours*)
  
• Participants will be provided with the training course material containing over 200 pages of explanatory information, examples, best practices, exercises, and quizzes. 
• An attendance record worth 14 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) credits will be issued to the participants who have attended the training course. 
•  If candidates fail the exam, they can retake it for free within 12 months of the course completion.

It does not include the time a learner will spend completing quizzes, exercises, or reviewing the written materials provided throughout the eLearning training course. Depending on the individual’s pace and learning style, the total time required to complete all components of the training may be significantly longer.

Meet the trainers

Our eLearning training courses have been catered to meet each individual’s needs and have been designed with the aim of eliminating geographical and time barriers. Each eLearning training course is delivered by experienced Trainers from all around the world, and is divided into several video sections and subsections. Videos contain animations to support what the trainer is lecturing — the animations correspond to the sections provided in in the traditional mode of training. To keep our candidates engaged, we have incorporated quizzes into our eLearning training courses

How does the eLearning experience look like?

Our ISO 9001 Foundation eLearning training course is delivered on the KATE app. It becomes available after you log in using your PECB account.

In addition to having the training course content in the video format, you can also access the regular training course materials format, structured in training course days, with the additional files available in an editable format (depending on the training course, the case study, exercises, and exercises correction key files will also be available).

Quizzes are part of the training course to increase interactivity between attendants and the training material.

Why should you attend?  

ISO 9001 Foundations is a two-day training courses which focuses on the concepts of quality and quality management, and provides an overall explanation of ISO 9001 requirements for a quality management system (QMS). In this training course, you will be acquainted with the various aspects of a QMS based on ISO 9001, such as the role of top management, risks and opportunities, quality policy, processes that shape product and service provision activities, requirements for performance evaluation, and the importance of continual improvement.

After completing this course, you can sit for the exam. If you successfully pass the exam, you can apply for the “Certificate Holder in ISO 9001 Foundation” designation. This certificate demonstrates that you have a general knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements for a QMS and enables you to be part of QMS implementation projects.

By the end of this training course, the participant will be able to:

Examination

 The “PECB Certified ISO 9001 Foundation” exam fully meets the requirements of the PECB Examination and Certification Programme (ECP). It covers the following competency domains:

• Domain 1: Fundamental concepts and principles of quality management and a QMS based on ISO 9001
• Domain 2: ISO 9001 requirements for a quality management system —Clauses 4 to 10

Certification

First, a candidate needs to complete the PECB ISO 9001 Foundation training course. Then, they need to take the exam and after successfully passing the exam, candidates will be able to apply for the “PECB Certificate Holder in ISO 9001 Foundation” certificate. This is an entry-level credential.

There are no prerequisites on professional or management system project experience required. Thus, following the training course, passing the exam and applying for the certificate are the only certificate program requisites that certificate holders shall meet before obtaining the certificate.
